We are located on State Highway 1, just south of Kaitaia. Heading south from Kaitaia on SH 1, go past Pamapuria School and then it is 200m to our lodge, on the right-hand side.
Air New ZealandBy air
From Auckland, there are one or two return flights per day to Kaitaia airport (approx. fifteen minutes drive from us) mostly using 19-seat Beechcraft or Jetstream aircraft. Service is provided by Air New Zealand Link - reservations: 0800 737000.
By bus
From Auckland to Kaitaia there is one service every day in each direction; a joint service being operated between Paihia and Kaitaia. The main pickup and set down point is at the Far North Information Centre.

Intercity Coachlines - ph: 09 913 6100 • Northliner Express - ph: 09 307 5873

Self-drive car
Travelling direct by State Highway 1 via the Mangamuka Gorge, the journey time from Auckland airport is about four hours without stops. We are on the left-hand side, approximately 7.5 kilometres north of the gorge. Travelling the Twin Coast Discovery Highway - a world-class touring route leaving from, and returning to, Auckland - requires at least two days in each direction to visit the many interesting and beautiful attractions along the way:
East coast
including the Matakana vineyards, Kawau Island, Mangawhai Heads, Waipu, Tutukaka Coast, Kawakawa, Bay of Islands and Doubtless Bay
West coast
including Hokianga, Kauri Coast, Kaipara Harbour, Helensville and the Kumeu vineyards and wineries
